The week we spent in Buenos Aires exploring the city and its unique blend of European and Argentine architecture and culture was such a rewarding experience that I would certainly recommend a visit to anyone interested in a little adventure. The food was quite good - from the local beef to the Dulce de leche ice cream - and spent much of our time eating our way across the city. While the traditional tourist activities of visiting Recoleta cemetery and Plaza de Mayo are a must, a visit to Argentina is not complete without attending a local soccer match, and we were lucky enough to watch the top two teams in the Argentine Primera División battle it out for first place. Given the proximity to Uruguay, we also used a day to hop on a ferry and cross the river to Colonia which offered its own take on the colonial Spanish legacy, and made for a fun day trip out of the hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires.

While the cosmopolitan feel of Buenos Aires is incredible, getting out into the countryside of Argentina, south of Cordoba in Villa General Belegrano, offered a unique perspective of the German influence on the country as well as a wonderful escape into nature. This sleepy German enclave comes alive every year for what is billed to be one of the top 4 Oktoberfests in the world and the city streets were adorned with flags from around the world as the whole town swells with tourists eager to sample the huge variety of beers on offer. While we found Oktoberfest to be rather quite during the week, when the weekend came around, busloads of tourists from Cordoba and beyond arrived to enjoy the German themed restaurants and stores lining the main streets of town, as well as venturing into the Oktoberfest to enjoy live music and beverages.

We really enjoyed our time in Argentina and would highly recommend it as a vacation destination. Staci at www.argentinaforless.com arranged all the details of our trip and made it easy for us to just sit back and have fun while we were there. We found her to be prompt and accommodating to our specific interests and needs. She took the stress of international travel out of the equation and all we had to do was enjoy ourselves. This was very good value for the money and I would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

JW Marriott was by far our favorite and had the best customer service - going above and beyond at every turn and Regal Pacific is in a great location.

On tours - we loved the Favelas, Corcovado, BA city tour, and Iguazu Falls, which we did all in one day and also took the crazy boat ride.

Overall, everything worked out extremely well. All the logistics were well planned, all pickups and drop-offs worked like clockwork, drivers were very polite. Even though a few did not speak any English, I never felt concerned. Loved my guided tour in Buenos Aires! I would definitely recommend travelers taking advantage of the Grand Adventure tour at Iguazu.

The trip was amazing! Everything went smoothly, and we definitely had an adventure of a lifetime! The soccer match was one of the most exciting sports experiences I've ever had. The energy of the crowd was just indescribable. Also, the grandeur of Iguazu falls left us speechless, and we loved the relaxing rural feel of Mendoza. Latin America was a wonderful surprise. It is not a common tourist destination for us because of the distance. Iguazu Falls is a glimpse of paradise. The people, especially the Brazilians were very warm, happy and sincere.
